About The Campus
In 2019, the ICA ran a variety of training programs that catered to a target audience of prominent professionals and organizations, including the IDF, the Israel Prison Services, the Ministry of Health, and Clalit Health Services. Over the course of the year, we developed training curricula, recruited lecturers, became acquainted with the existing professional community in the field of addiction, and studied the needs of the field.
In addition, we launched the first comprehensive clinical training program on addiction treatment for professionals. This is an intensive two-year fellowship program in addiction medicine and is the first program of its kind to be recognized by the Israel Medical Association. The program is catered for psychiatrists and psychologists who have completed their required clinical training, and for clinical social workers. Throughout the training program, clinicians learn evidence-based treatment modalities that have proven efficacy and gain clinical experience in providing both individual and group therapy.
The ICA provides training on addiction treatment to the medical and paramedical teams at Clalit Health Services, to the medical staff at the Israel Prison Services and other organizations, and to various mental health professionals, in partnership with the Ministry of Health. The training activities are diverse and tailored to the needs of each organization and its employees.
